Whether or not to seek treatment for the symptoms of PMS, perimenopause or menopause is a personal choice.

You may have been told that hormones levels don’t tell us anything or they can’t be evaluated. Or worse yet, your hormones levels have been evaluated, and you have been told that they are “normal.”

What makes treatment from Only Hormones different?

Tammy Hadfield has been trained in advanced hormone therapy by some the world’s leading experts, and she knows firsthand what it means to be going through hormonal changes.

  • Weight gain
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Hair loss
  • Dry skin
  • Brittle nails
  • Constipation
  • Night sweats
  • Forgetfulness
  • Depression
  • Irregular periods
  • Fatigue
  • This is an extremely troubling statistic as every cell in the human body has a thyroid receptor.

The American Thyroid Association reports that 20 million Americans are affected by a thyroid condition and estimates that approximately 60 percent of people don’t know they have a problem.

Hypothyroidism / Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis

What are Some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism?

Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis is brought on by the body attacking the thyroid. Patients with Hashimoto’s may feel all the same symptoms of hypothyroidism but may also experience the symptoms of high thyroid function such as…

  • Anxiousness
  • Insomnia
  • Hand tremors
  • Heart palpitations
  • A feeling of tightness in their throat

These symptoms are also the symptoms of hormone decline in both women and men. If thyroid disorders are left untreated, more concerning health problems can arise like heart problems, obesity, infertility, and mental health issues.

  • Medication management
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Supplement recommendations
  • Traditional bio-identical medications (hormones that match the human body’s own chemical structure) such as Levothyroxine, Levoxyl, Synthroid, Tiorsint, Cytomel and Liothyronine
  • Bio-identical porcine (derived from pig thyroid) medications such as Armour Thyroid and NP Thyroid
  • Compounded bio-identical T4 and T3 in a sustained release formula
  • Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) therapy for Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis

She will discuss how your environment and what type of thyroid medication you are taking can affect your thyroid function. She will also educate you on the relationship between your hormones and thyroid function.

Andropause is the male equivalent to menopause. Like women, men can also experience declines in their hormonal levels as they age.

Andropause and Low Testosterone in Men

These Hormone declines can lead to…

Most men have heard of “Low T,” but when they have their testosterone levels tested by a healthcare provider, they are told their levels are normal, falsely ruling out hormone deficiency as the culprit.

Laboratory values are based on a reference range of men aged 17 to 70, skewing the average numbers so much that most men fall within the normal range.

What this means is that if a 40-year-old male has a low normal testosterone level, his testosterone is actually closer to the levels of a 70-year-old male.
Men can be treated with a range of age management solutions like bio-identical hormone replacement therapy to nutritional recommendations, supplements, healthy lifestyle changes, and peptide therapies.
